Note: Use a full-size blender for any of these tasks - a hand blender for most. Serves four to six people.

 

Fresh Fruit-and-Veggies Blender Recipes

 

Fresh fruit smoothie: combine a cup each of fresh strawberries, sliced bananas, and vanilla yogurt in your blender and liquefy. Fill the blender with crushed ice and process until smooth.

Frothy Pineapple-Banana Smoothie: combine a 11.5 oz. can of pineapple-orange juice concentrate, 1 1/2 cups ice cubes, 1/2 cup pineapple chunks, and 1 ripe banana (broken into pieces) in blender, cover, and pulse on ICE BREAKER for 45 seconds or until desired consistency. Makes 40 ounces.

Orange Pineapple Smoothie: combine 15 oz. can crushed pineapple, 1 cup orange juice, 1 cup ice cubes, and 8 oz pineapple yogurt in blender, cover, and pulse on ICE BREAKER for 45 seconds or until desired consistency. Makes 36 ounces.

Banana Berry Smoothie: combine 1 1/2 cups milk, 2 cups frozen strawberries, 2 ripe bananas (broken into pieces), and 2 - 8oz. containers vanilla or strawberry yogurt in blender, cover, and pulse on ICE BREAKER for 45 seconds or until desired consistency. Makes 48 ounces.

Orange-sicle Smoothie: combine 2 1/2 cups orange juice and 6 scoops frozen vanilla yogurt in blender, cover, and BLEND for 45 seconds or until desired consistency. Makes 36 ounces.

Mocha Cocoa Shake: combine 1 1/2 cups milk, 2 teaspoons instant coffee powder, and 6 scoops chocolate ice cream, in blender BLEND for 15 seconds or until shake is smooth. Makes 24 ounces.

Fresh lettuce and veggie salad with bleu cheese dressing: on medium speed, combine 4 ounces each of sour cream, cream cheese, real mayo, and plain yogurt. Add 1/2-teaspoon each of onion and garlic powder. On the lowest speed, mix in 1 cup of bleu cheese crumbs. Chill.

 

Main Course Kitchen Blender Recipes

 

Stuffed Flounder: Chop 1 carrot and a small onion in the blender. Blend in 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 2 eggs, and 1/2-cup water. Transfer to a bowl; mix in 1 box of stuffing mix. Add 1/4 cup white wine. Fold in 1 can of crabmeat. Place mounds of dressing on flounder fillets; roll. Place rolls in a buttered baking dish, sprinkle with parsley, butter buds, and onion powder. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Potato Casserole: Boil 6 medium potatoes. Stir in 1/4 cup butter, 1 large cream cheese, 1-teaspoon onion powder, and 1/4-cup milk (salt and pepper to taste). Transfer to blender and whip until smooth, adding more milk if necessary. Place in buttered baking dish, sprinkle with flavored breadcrumbs, dot with butter, and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Let set 15 minutes before serving.

 

Dessert Blender Recipe

 

 

Easy Tiramisu: Blend 2 cups of half-and-half and a large container cream cheese. Add 2 packages of instant vanilla pudding; whip for one minute. Lightly dip vanilla wafers in whiskey and line a pie pan. Top with half the pudding. Add another layer of whiskey cookies and top with remaining pudding. Refrigerate several hours. Before serving, whip 2 cups of whipping cream in your blender. Spread over pudding and decorate with maraschino cherries.

 

Triple Chocolate Milkshake: Blend 1 1/2 cups milk, 8 chocolate sandwich cookies, and 1/3 cup chocolate syrup for 15 seconds or until cookies are coarsely chopped and shake is smooth. Makes 32 ounces.
